Company History

Established in 1969, Island Ice Cream Company started with a single truck selling ice cream on the New Jersey Shore. The idea was to create an operation for the Visalli family that would pay for college tuition. Initially, Anthony Visalli, Sr., had this idea and his brother, Joseph Visalli, managed the operation. Later, Pat Visalli would take over when he returned from school.

In 1972, Tony Visalli,Jr., began to work at Island and take over the family business. As they say…. Tony drove along the South Jersey shore selling Dolly Madison Ice Cream, as well as other brands, to the seasonal businesses, catering to tourists and locals.

In 2024, Tony decided to pass the family legacy to his cousin, Pat Visalli’s daughter, Kristen Visalli. Keeping the business in the family is such an important factor as to why Island Ice Cream treats all its customers like family.
Over 50 years, Island Ice Cream Company has developed into a full service, ice cream distribution company based in Wildwood, New Jersey. Our distribution center houses the largest ice cream inventory in Cape May County and continues to grow with unlimited visions of expansion. Throughout the years, Island Ice Cream Company’s commitment to quality brands and excellent service, as well as an integral understanding of the seasonal business, has been the cornerstone of our success.

We are a proud woman owned business.
